Our Story

Prevail & Reign was born from a lifelong love of finding things that feel special, the kind of pieces that speak to who you are, reflect your personality, and bring a sense of beauty and meaning into your everyday life.

For as long as I can remember, back to elementary school, I knew I wanted to own a boutique. In 2022, I finally took the leap and opened my first store in the heart of downtown St Francisville, Lousiana, knowing absolutely nothing except that I had a passion for this and was willing to figure it out along the way. What started as a dream quickly became a journey of growth, learning, and real-life experience.

Now, in this season, I’ve shifted into a shop-in-shop space,( Now located inside of Findings in St. Francisville, Louisiana)  creating more freedom to focus on growing the online side of Prevail & Reign, something I’m still learning, still building, and genuinely excited about.

I’m Mariah, though many online know me as Cali of the South. My style is rooted in a blend of laid-back California ease and a deep appreciation for the agricultural, ranching lifestyle I grew up around, paired with Southern warmth and charm. I naturally gravitate toward a timeless, everyday luxury aesthetic, something classic, effortless, and lived-in, much like the feeling behind brands that value simplicity and quality while remaining effortlessly chic. 

Prevail & Reign was built in the middle of real life, not perfection. As a mom, a homeschooler, and a woman growing in faith while chasing big goals, this brand reflects the beauty of building something meaningful right where you are. To “prevail” is to push through and rise above, and to “reign” is to step into a life of purpose, confidence, and quiet luxury and that’s the heart behind everything here.

Every piece is intentionally chosen and sometimes, honestly, a little overthought, in the best way. From curated boutique styles to one-of-a-kind antique and vintage finds, I’ve created a space where I don’t have to stay in one lane. Through what became Southern Vault, I’ve been able to bring together my love for thrifting, storytelling, and timeless pieces that deserve a second life.

My goal is simple: to help you feel confident, inspired, and at home not just in what you wear, but in how you style your space and live your everyday life. I truly believe the things you surround yourself with matter. They shape your environment, your mindset, and the way you show up.

More than anything, I want this to feel like a space you belong, a place that’s warm, welcoming, and real. Where getting dressed, decorating your home, and finding those just-right pieces feels exciting again. Where you discover things you love not only to wear, but to live your life around.

Because style isn’t about trends or what everyone else is doing, it is about what speaks to you. It’s about creating a life that feels like yours and showing up fully in it.
